Learn how to set a timer in the Camera app on your iPhone for perfect selfies and group photos. Say cheese and let the iPhone Camera Timer do the rest!
Step #1 - Open the camera app on your iPhone
To find the iPhone Camera Timer, locate the camera app on your iPhone
Step #2 - Find the more settings area within the app
Swipe up from the bottom center of your screen (just above the white circle otherwise known as the shutter button) and right near the word Photos
Step #3 - Swipe from right to left until you find the timer icon
Using your finger, swipe from right to left until you find the timer icon.
Step #4 - Set your camera timer to 3 or 10 seconds
To set your iPhone Camera Timer, click either 3s (3 seconds) or 10s (10 seconds). You will know it is selected because it the number 3 or 10 will be displayed in the top right corner of your screen
Step #5 - Push the shutter button and strike a pose
Now you are ready to set the camera to countdown and strike a pose. Select the white circle (shutter button) and get ready for a 3 or 10 second countdown.
